Patanjali Yoga Sutra 3.39
Swami Vivekananda's translation
When the cause of bondage of the Chitta has become loosened, the Yogi, by his knowledge of its channels of activity (the nerves), enters another’s body.
Vyasa Bhashya (English Translation)
The fickle and unsteady mind becomes bound or established in the body due to the repository of karma (karmashaya). The loosening of that karma, which is the cause of bondage, occurs through the power of Samadhi. And the knowledge of the channels of activity of the mind also comes from Samadhi. Through the destruction of karmic bondage and the knowledge of the mind’s channels, the yogi can extract his mind from his own body and project it into other bodies. The senses follow the projected mind. Just as when the king bee flies up, the other bees follow him, and when he settles down, they also settle down, similarly, the senses follow the mind when it enters another body. || 38 ||
