कूर्मनाड्यां स्थैर्यम्॥३२॥

On the nerve called Kurma, (comes) fixity of the body.

Vyasa Bhashya (Sanskrit)

कूपादध उरसि कूर्माकारा नाडी, तस्यां कृतसंयमः स्थिरपदं लभते। यथा सर्पो गोधा वेति ॥ ३१ ॥

Vyasa Bhashya (English Translation)

Below the hollow (kupa), in the chest, is a nerve shaped like a tortoise (kurma-nadi). Having made Samyama on it, one attains a state of steadiness, just like a snake or an iguana. || 31 ||
