“Monks, of all the trees, the phandana tree is declared to be the foremost in terms of softness and workability. In the same way, I do not see even one other thing that, when developed and cultivated, becomes so soft and workable as the mind. The mind, monks, when developed and cultivated, becomes soft and workable.”
